ventilacion.cat remains an independent guide to air renewal in Catalonia. It also lets you describe a real situation so Viktor, the portal’s technical specialist, can make an initial relevance check: whether ventilation may matter, whether a visit could add value, or whether another trade should come first.
Information that stands on its own
The guides explain air paths, condensation, humidity, extract fans and ventilation systems for any reader. You do not need to contact us or buy anything to use them. Sources, review dates and limitations remain visible on each page.
Accepting context about real homes does not turn the library into a catalogue. An editorial conclusion may still be that ventilation is not the cause, that more observation is needed, or that the building association, an envelope specialist, a plumber or another professional should come first.
Viktor, technical specialist
Viktor reviews the technical context of enquiries. He has practical experience with ventilation diagnostics and airflow checks, bathroom extract fans, supply and extract networks, single- and double-flow VMC, heat recovery, decentralised ventilation, ductwork and whole-property systems.
His experience also covers residential and commercial ventilation, restaurants and garages, and split, multisplit and ducted air conditioning, including installation, maintenance and repair work. The Viktor profile sets out the scope, exclusions and working languages in detail.
Experience is not the same as personal authority to sign every intervention. We do not attribute verified personal RITE or F-Gas credentials to Viktor, or imply that he independently certifies or legalises installations.
The initial assessment
The ventilation assessment puts the property type, area, symptom, existing system and project stage into a useful order. Photos or a short video can help with context. The purpose is to decide whether a visit may add information, whether this could become a whole-property project, whether it is a small isolated matter, whether another trade is more suitable, or whether an authorised company and professionals would be needed.
It is not a remote diagnosis, official inspection, certificate, formal design or installation quote produced from photographs. The portal does not remotely diagnose leaks, rising damp, thermal bridges, or defects in windows, facades and slabs.
Four distinct levels
- Technical experience: work Viktor has done and conditions he can observe in practice.
- Assessment and qualification: understanding the situation and choosing a proportionate next step.
- Direct commercial offer: accepting a defined scope through an identified contracting entity.
- Regulated execution and certification: design, contract, execution, commissioning, signature or legalisation through the applicable authorised chain.
The portal currently publishes the first two levels. Regulated work can only be accepted once the company, professionals, insurance, responsibilities and documentation required for that exact service have been verified.
Area, exclusions and languages
The practical working area is Barcelona and roughly 100 km around it. There are no municipality landing pages and no promise of a free visit. Distance, property and scope are reviewed before a visit is proposed.
Viktor does not correct building defects in windows, facades or slabs, clean greasy restaurant extraction, or undertake wet or dry diamond cutting. Formal plan integration requires an architect or other competent professional. Control boards are replaced where appropriate, not repaired at component level.
He works at a strong level in Russian and Ukrainian, has good English, and limited Spanish that is sufficient for technical requirements. We do not describe his Spanish as fluent.
Editorial identity
The publisher and site owner is Aleksandr Prokofyev, self-employed in Spain. His editorial role is separate from Viktor’s technical role and from any authorised company that may later contract regulated work.
The portal maintains selective, natively written coverage in Catalan, Spanish, English, French and Russian. The assessment and profile have real owners in CA, ES, EN and RU; a French version has not been forced into publication.
